Saks Serves, our employee volunteer program, held a Back-to-School drive across our corporate locations to support local nonprofits and the children they serve as they head back to school. Between employees in New York; Tennessee; Pennsylvania; Bangalore, India; and remote employees, Saks Serves donated nearly 5,000 school supplies to students across our local communities. Saks India Celebrates Students 

The Saks India team volunteered at Christel House, an organization that provides food, education and healthcare services to children who experience poverty. Volunteers participated in a student celebration ceremony, donated supplies, planted saplings and learned more about the organization's impactful work. 

Tennessee Fulfillment Center Backpack Drive 

Tennessee Fulfillment Center volunteers packed backpacks with donated school supplies for second grade students in the Rutherford County’s Boys & Girls Club reading program. The team hand delivered the backpacks to the Club in support of their mission to provide local youth with a safe environment that will help them reach their fullest potential. 

Pottsville Photo Studio Supports Local Students 

The Pottsville Photo Studio team participated in the Schuylkill County United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” initiative, which collects and distributes school necessities for children local to the Pottsville, PA area. Our volunteers took the initiative a step further and attended a United Way packing event where they helped organize donations from across the county. 

Back-to-School Essentials with the New York City Corporate Office and Remote Team

The New York City corporate office and remote team donated back-to-school essentials to Henry Street Settlement, an organization whose mission is to create opportunities for underserved residents of the Lower East Side through social services, the arts and healthcare. The supplies were donated to students that attend Henry Street Settlement’s after school program, which offers an array of quality-driven educational, enrichment and recreational activities for underprivileged students. 

Through initiatives like Saks Serves, we are furthering our commitment to making a positive impact on the communities where our employees live and work, with an emphasis on supporting and uplifting underserved communities.
